SONIC the HGHG joins the force

Shining Force 2. Still an awesome game after all these years, and still shows more effort than all the recent Square Enix RPG's (outside Dragon Quest, anyway).

A sheet that my uncle challenged me to make. Over at Shining Force Central, there's some big fangame project thing being done in SF2 style, and everyone's making custom characters, classes, and everything. This isn't for the project at all! My uncle said it would be funny if I did this, and then submitted it to the project as a sorta joke entry. Plus, it'd be an awesome refference from one of SEGA's game series to another. Who can't love those sorta things?

The sprite itself is completely custom, though obviously some of the pallete and the features, aka the spindash and the sort, are based around the Sonic 1 and Sonic 3 style Sonic sprites, as well as a few of my own custom Sonic sprites. Done using multiple SF2 characters for size and shading refference. The portrait is based on artwork by Tracy Yardley from the Archie Sonic comics, and all credit goes to him for it.

And done! The blocking pose (the crouching pose from the old Sonic games) is done, and i've included the portraits that were used in that animation from before, so this sheet is fully finished now. This is now publically useable but I can't be bothered to add a tag right now. If anyone wants to make other Sonic characters in the Shining Force 2 style and use this as a base or refference, go right ahead. Just a name drop in the credits will do me fine!
